We live in a stormy, turbulent time. A time where finding strength,
courage and peace of mind is crucial for speaking out for what matters.
The world has always experienced love and hate, peace and desperation,
righteousness and deceit. Our response and actions is what matters and sets the course.
While there is increasingly more division, there is also a widespread, unstoppable discovery
taking place of something bigger than our personal selves.
Music speaks, crossing the divides. It has its own language for those who stop and listen.
It is a means to capture and revive authenticity, a deeper connection which has always been
there, even if one chooses to look away.
Deep calm and captivating passion: a story that is as personal as it is universal. Finding a
shelter from raging winds to grow and to pursue the truth. Your truth. Solitary and yet shared.
After all, it might all be very simple. As simple as the forces of nature that build, nurture,
cleanse and destroy the old to give birth to the new.
And this is our invitation.
To continue your journey and find your own companions. Be it our melancholic tunes,
acoustic honesty, loud noise or a moment of pure, electrified silence. We’re out on the same
road you’re walking, with dark twists and bright light shining in. We speak and we listen. And
we seek our companions, relentlessly. Hoping and knowing that there are more of us out there.
“An artist’s duty, as far as I’m concerned, is to reflect the times. I think that is true of painters,
sculptors, poets, musicians. It’s, as far as I’m concerned, their choice. But I choose to
reflect the times and the situations in which I find myself. That to me is my duty. And at this crucial
time in our
lives when everything is so desperate, when every day is a matter of survival, I don’t think
you can help
but be involved. So, I don’t think you have a choice.
How can you be an artist and not reflect the times? That to me is the definition of an
artist.”
